Making a Lasting Impression LLC (M.A.L.I.) is an educational consulting firm serving students both domestically and internationally. We believe every student is a unique star, and our mission is to help them shine. As educational consultants, we guide students through key academic transitions—middle school, high school, and university—providing personalized interview preparation, essay support, mentorship, and coaching. By helping students tell their stories with confidence and clarity, we ensure they are prepared to make a lasting impression

Our role is to aid in the development of these stories, each of which has been stitched together to provide confidence, resilience, and growth.

M.A.L.I cultivate leadership and interpersonal skills, including perseverance, honesty, tolerance, compassion, responsibility, friendship, and courage. Throughout the course of our coaching program, each of these tenets is explored and presented as a foundational building block.

While there is a personalized curriculum constructed for each child, we always emphasize the importance of effectively communicating and clarifying one’s story. We encourage students to begin with a main point and to reinforce that point with evidence that appeals to their specific audience.

Meet our Founder

jacqueline Graham-Mills

I am a strategic coach driven by a core belief: when students and families feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, they thrive—especially during the school interview process. My work centers on developing thoughtful, effective practices that foster strong connections and help each child present their story with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
With a proven ability to build trust and communicate with ease, I guide students and their families through their educational journey, ensuring every child reaches their highest potential. Integrity and professionalism shape everything I do, from preparing students for interviews to helping them articulate their strengths in an unobscured and meaningful way. As an active listener, I lead with empathy, trust, and sincerity. To me, listening is not passive—it is a process of rethinking, refreshing, and evolving. This approach allows me to meet each student where they are and help them step boldly into where they are meant to be. With over 25 years of leadership experience in Corporate America, I have created a results-driven career at top financial institutions, including American Express, Deutsche Bank, BlackRock Inc., and UBS. Throughout my time on Wall Street, I developed strong analytical, strategic, and relationship management skills that have seamlessly translated into my work in education. For more than two decades, I have also cultivated deep expertise in the boarding school and prep school placement arena—guiding families through the admissions process and building trusted partnerships with school administrators and educational leaders. This unique blend of corporate acumen and educational insight allows me to offer families both strategic guidance and personalized support as they navigate one of the most important decisions in their child’s academic journey.
